How to contact your advisor
Please follow the instructions for your specific student type in the following list:
- Current CS Majors and Minors: There are two contact options depending on your needs:
- Appointments: For questions that would take 10 minutes or more, schedule an advising appointment in Navigate. Example: rewriting degree plan.
- Drop In Hours: For questions less than 10 minutes, attend Drop-In hours. Example: Prerequisite override request. Open Microsoft Teams to find your advisor’s drop-in hours.
- Current CSU Undergrads Interested in CS Major or Minor: Stop by the CS front desk on the second floor of the CS building, call the CS front desk at (970) 491-6512, or email our reception to schedule an appointment.
- Future Students Interested in CS Major or Minor: Stop by the CS front desk on the second floor of the CS building, call the CS front desk at (970) 491-6512, or email our reception to schedule an appointment with a CS advisor.

- Transfer Students Interested in CS Major or Minor: Call the CS front desk at (970) 491-6512, or email our reception to schedule an appointment.
- Second Bachelor’s Students: Students who have completed a non-CS degree may be unsure whether to pursue a 2nd or to complete prerequisite courses for a CS masters.
- If interested in pursing in-person coursework, please email Kelsey Dockendorff for guidance on these questions.
- If interested in pursuing online-only coursework, please email our CSU online computer science advisor for guidance on these questions.
- Current Graduate Students: Current graduate students with questions about their program may email compsci_gradcurrent@colostate.edu.

registering for classes
It is highly recommended that all computer science majors meet with an academic advisor to update degree plans and to make sure graduation requirements are being met. Students may register for classes by accessing RamWeb. Students also can use RamWeb to check for their registration date, holds, etc.
